Debt Management Advice Clinic
Individuals who are experiencing debt problems are served by JustCause’s Debt Management Advice Clinic. This clinic is held every month beginning at 4:00 p.m. There is no fee to attend this clinic.
At this clinic, a volunteer attorney gives general advice to a large group and presents information through a PowerPoint presentation prepared by JustCause. The attorney discusses debt problems including harassing phone calls from credit agencies, garnishment of wages and Bankruptcy Chapters 7 and 13. This session meets at the Telesca Center for Justice located at 1 W. Main Street, Rochester, New York.
Important: This group teaching session is not the pre-bankruptcy credit counseling mandated by the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. You will not receive a certificate for attending this group teaching session. Dates for the 2023 Debt Management group teaching sessions:

Following the group teaching session, individuals who wish to file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, and have completed the required questionnaires and forms, will have the opportunity to meet with a volunteer attorney for screening.
